SUMMER INTENSIVES 2010...  July 26th - August 30!!!
The nosi DANCE theater Summer Intensives are designed to give dancers a chance to experience professional training in their own community thru technique and company repertoire instruction.  Participants experience various techniques to expand their movement vocabulary and develop performance skills.

The intensives conclude with the annual "Show Some (LOVE) Showcase" - an informal showing of nosi DANCE theater repertory and pieces created throughout the week with nDt company members and community artists. ...... .....

For the pre-professional dancer with a solid dance background who wishes to expand their contemporary technique and achieve their full artistic potential. ....

nosi DANCE theater year-round programs follow…

the education/outreach sector of nosi dance theater, nosi educates, conducts an array of school programs, workshops/residencies, and master classes.  we believe that ALL people contribute to movement individually, from children to adults, we each have a special flow.  nosi educates programs are tailored to fit your needs as they may be scheduled alone or together.  a 3-day residency may be programmed with a performance and interactive workshops for a complete experience.  for more information contact info@nosidance.com.

performance…

nosi dance will perform a selection of dances from its repertory in a program designed for the intended audience, location and dancers.  approx: 1 hour

master classes…

members of nosi dance are able to teach classes in modern, contemporary, jazz, ballet and ndt technique(an eclectic mix of various techniques).  Each class, specific for age & level, includes warm-up, center work and challenging combinations that will push students toward musicality, style/technical fusion and individuality in movement.  approx: 1 ½ hours

creative workshop…

the artistic director and select nosi dance members will lead participants through a theme exploration with movement and improve.  structure includes a physical warm-up, discussion of theme and creation of a piece of choreography for presentation at the end of the workshop.  this workshop should be limited in size and easily designed for all ages and skill levels.  approx: 2 ½ hours

*creative residency… also available.  approx: 2-5 days*

repertory residency…

select company members and the artistic director may teach & rehearse a piece of the repertory or have a piece created for the participants.  participants experience the company’s rehearsal process and find their own performance quality.  the new repertory may result in a performance.  this workshop is limited in size and some previous dance experience is required.  approx: 2-5 days or longe
